3.30.2020 Governor Hogan Issues Stay-At-Home Order

Gov. Larry Hogan issued a stay-at-home order Monday due to what he called a "rapidly escalating emergency situation." The order takes effect at 8 p.m. Monday.

Hogan signed the "stay-at-home directive" Monday morning and added that all prior orders he issued remain in effect, which are highlighted as below:

  • Gatherings Large Than 10 Persons Prohibited.
  • Closure of Non-Essential Businesses, Generally.
  • Closure of Certain Specific Businesses, Organizations, and Facilities.
  • Other Recreational and Miscellaneous Establishments.

The order also listed the general provisions for the first time that a person who knowingly and willfully violates this Order is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding one year or a fine not exceeding $5,000 or both.
