Montgomery County, in partnership with Visit Montgomery, will begin Round II of the County’s Hotel Relief Grant Program on Monday, March 1. The program is designed to help hotels that were significantly impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis.

Hotels and other lodging establishments that were approved for a grant in Round I do not need to reapply. They will be provided with an updated grant notice and will then receive a second payment based on a pro-rata share of remaining grant funds.

Eligible businesses that did not apply during the first round will be able to apply during the second-round application period between Monday, March 1, and Sunday, March 7.

Grant awards are based on a per room award amount of $644 per room, as determined by the State of Maryland Sales and Use Tax allocation.

Details on the program, including eligibility requirements and frequently asked questions, are available on the Montgomery County Business Portal at https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/Biz-Resources/hrg/.

Businesses are encouraged to check their standing with the State of Maryland before submitting an application as awards cannot be made to businesses that are not in good standing.

The Hotel Relief Grant program is fully funded by the State of Maryland. It is administered by Visit Montgomery in partnership with the Montgomery County Business Advancement Team.
