This will be a critical next phase of the museum’s development. Funds raised from the Gala will support the museum's exhibitions and ongoing programs. Here are a few Gala highlights:
- Honorees Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch, Connie Chung, Michelle Kwan, Adele Lim (co-screenwriter “Crazy Rich Asians”), Tina Tchen, CEO of TIME’S UP Now, Peter Tsai, the N-95 mask inventor, Taylor Wang, the first Chinese American astronaut in space, and Daphne Kwok, VP of multi-cultural leadership at AARP.
· Invitees include Asian Ambassadors to the US, Chinese American members of Congress, Asian American and corporate leaders.
- Emcees Joie Chen (TV journalist, former CNN anchor) and Richard Lui (News anchor, NBC and MSNBC)
- Performers America’s Got Talent Season 13 winner, magician Shin Lim! Ethnobeat (an a capella group), and a traditional Chinese guzheng musician.
