Athletic field access allowing games for low- and medium-risk sports for groups of 50 or less is now available as follows: Fields at local parks, recreation centers, and public schools are currently available, and fields at regional and recreational parks will be available starting September 1, 2020.

Games and tournaments were canceled in March due to COVID-19. At this time, games for low- and medium-risk sports are allowed, but tournaments are still prohibited. High-risk sports games, such as soccer, football and rugby are not permitted at this time. Practice and skill-building drills for high-risk sports are permitted. Sports are categorized by risk by the Maryland Sports Commission Return to Play Committee Report.

All staff and field users must continue to follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and county guidelines related to COVID-19, including face covering requirements and social distancing and hygiene requirements.

All athletic fields, including local and regional park athletic fields, and athletic fields located at elementary and middle schools are available for permit for the fall season via Activemontgomery.org.

Permits are offered on a first come, first served basis. Permitted use must comply with all guidelines, regulations, and conditions of use established by the Interagency Coordinating Board for Community Use of Public Facilities. Payment is due upon submission with each reservation request for general public use.

Please note that Montgomery County Public Schools is not sponsoring in-person student activities on fields at this time.
