About the Club

In the early years, CCACC offered an Arts class to teach people basic crafting skills. The Art Class became the CCACC Arts and Crafts Club in 2002 as the focus shifted from learning to making friends. Arts and crafts turned into a fun pastime for the club members.

The Arts and Crafts Club is a place for members to enhance their skills, meet fellow artists, and exchange inspiration. There is also an opportunity to meet professionals who come to teach their craft. Most of these are related to local crafts that exemplifies the local culture.

Students have worked with silk knotting, floral patterns for silk stockings, compressed flowers, weaved “hundred-color” flowers, strung beads, non-woven clothes, and much more. The club is opened to the idea of new crafts and is a place to share new ideas as well as create artwork.
