5.12.2020 蒙郡授予38家社區機構食品獲取補助金
蒙郡向社區團體資助了38份食品援助資金。這些社區團體是為蒙郡的弱勢居民和家庭提供食品援助服務的。共計120萬美金的撥款用於應對COVID-19大流行以及恢復期間，以增加食品供給。非營利機構可獲得最高75,000美金的援助。資金的一部分將用於與超市合作，以增加相關食品的供給量，同時為居民提供熱餐，並從猶太超市購買食物分發給老年人。
各機構獲得的援助金從7,000美金到6萬美金不等，分別是：

COVID-19緊急食品獲取補助金由蒙郡保健福利部（DHHS）、蒙郡食品委員會（MCFC）和醫療保健基金會（HIF）共同合作。最近由緊急事務管理和國土安全部（the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security，OEMHS）新成立的蒙郡食品安全工作團隊（County’s Food Security Task Force），會審查並決定所有援助金。醫療保健基金會（HIF）是該項目的財務代理，將負責發放每筆援助金。
蒙郡保健福利部（DHHS）連同蒙郡公立學校（MCPS）、蒙郡食品委員會（MCFC）和本地食品援助提供者一直在COVID-19大流行期間開展工作，以解決民眾對食品援助日益增長的需求。OEMHS成立了由蒙郡職員、社區合作夥伴和食品援助接受者組成的食品安全工作團隊。該團隊正在製定一項戰略計劃，以解決糧食安全問題和未來食品援助支出的優先事項。
